TCU Transceiver
The eminent OFgearTCU has been used in many of our cars, from daily drives to drag cars.
We have used the OFgearTCU in our project cars for some time and found that we wished
for a more modern way of interacting with the unit. Some of us just set the TCU once
and are fine with that, others like to tinker and look for better performance or maybe
a softer and more economical ride.
For us... The little LCD display/Joystick combo is time consuming and fiddly to work with.
The PC software for the OFgearTCU require a PC/Laptop with windows to run.
This is why we at Are-Inc decided to have a go at it...
"Are-Inc TCU Transceiver" takes care of the setup for the OFgearTCU using your Phone/Tablet/Pc
with your favorite web browser. We also offer more than just a tool to aid in the setup
we also added the possibility to store several configs that you can load to the OFgearTCU
via simple button pushes, One for the daily drive, one for the track, another setup for the
drag strip....
On top of that, we added support for wireless gauge clusters, simple stepper motor gauges
LCD-dashboards and more... All with free coding examples and open API for your diy. projects.
Read more about all the features of the ESP-NOW transceiver part and the CAN-BUS for RealDash software.
We also include a OTA firmware upgrade so you can upgrade your firmware as soon as we add new features to it.
The firmware upgrade will take care of everything for you, including a safty feature that give you the possebility to go back to the prior version/setting if you regret your upgrade, or something went wrong during the upgrade.
The Gauge controller uses the Ofgear-TCU data to controll "DIY" gauges and Instrument clusters, Using wireless connection from the OFgear TCU For the instrument cluster/gauges we use a simple program running in an ESP8366 or ESP32 mcu unit.
The Are-Inc ESP-NOW addition to the controller give you all the flexibility you can ever wich for.
Here you select what data you like to use from the OFgearTCU and it will send this information
wireless to your "DIY" receiver (or prebuilt by us)...
It could be a nice, large LCD screeen, a stepper motor gauge, a servo based gauge, some indicators a.s.o.
All you need is to add one of our prebuilt units, or order some ESP32 or ESP8266, install ArduinoIDE and
start using one of the examples provided on the support page under #Programming Examples#
You will find examples for stepper motors with web-server based setup pages for tuning your gauge,
or LCD display controller with buttons and indicators, or a simple Logger for all data..
The possibilities are endless, just use your imagenation and program the function you need.
Our stepper motor gauge dev. board uses a ESP8266 as a receiver and with a web based setup you can
fine tune your stepper motor based gauge with ease..
The stepper motor used is the standard GaugeStepper used by most european cars, and many of the american and asian cars.
We sell this as a complete gauge fully done, or as an empty PCB where you add your own components.
We also made a more advanced board with onboard microstepper driver for very nice and smooth movement of your stepper gauge needles. We added LED driver for RGB LED's and I2C screen output for your favorit LCD where you can select and precent your selected information from the OFgearTCU...

OFgear the standalone 722.6 transmission controller!
Customize how your transmission works with the included
OLED display or use this new web based setup direct via your browser.
Features:
Save differant settings
and switsh between them
by uploading it from
your phone as you need them.
Works with: PC, Phone or tablet, Windows, Macos, Linux, Android, IOS, ChromeOS
........…
Via the onboard web-server you will find pages for all the settings of the OFgearTCU.
Everything from the basic controller settings to the Boost controller and AUX In/Out settings.
You can read the settings stored in your OFgearTCU or write a new config to it that you just made or one that you had saved from before
The onboard filemanager take care of upload/download/rename and delete of your files. You can also do your settings and save the whole setup as a "config-file" that you can write direct to the OFgearTCU.
You can save up to 300 different config's for the OFgearTCU that you can upload at will. One for daily driving, one for the track day, one for towing, one for the strip...? An easy click and select and you are up and running with the new setting...

Here Ofgear-TCU data is used to controll or send data to the Realdash software.
All data from the gearbox is sent to the software in CAN-bus format via Bluetooth.
Wireless:
You will find necessary data in the dedicated page in the webserver,
The ESP8266 D1 mini Stepper Gauge controller board uses the ESP-NOW peotocol designed by Are-Inc for the Ofgear TCU remote control board.
It has a webserver built in where the user can setup the gauge to meet the demands. You can use any input from the OFgear controller to present data on your gauge.
All settings are made in teh GUI on the webserver and is easy to understand.
The whole software is free open source and can be used as base for your own projects.

FluidNC is a CNC firmware optimized for the ESP32 controller.
It is the next generation of firmware from the creators of Grbl_ESP32.
It includes a web based UI and the flexibility to operate to a wide variety of machine types.
This includes the ability to control machines with multiple tool types such as laser+spindle
or a tool changer.
WebUI
FluidNC includes a built-in browser-based Web UI (ESP3D-WebUI)
so you control the machine from a PC,
phone, or tablet on the same Wifi network. WebUI is a separate project, but the FluidNC team maintains
a separate fork with some enhancements - notably an alternative tablet mode that is optimized for
use on a tablet computer, including a GCode visualizer - and with support for some FluidNC-specific
features.
The source code for the fork is at
ESP3D-WEBUI
"Are-Inc FluidCNC controller board" is "just" another version of a hardware for this eminent software,
and our focus has been 'Formfactor, easy to implement, using standard "modules" found online and sturdy PCB
with good shield between the signal lines.
We only provide the hardware, with a documentation of the I/O setup in "FluidCNC".
The ESP32 comes without the firmware,
but you just follow the link above and download the software for free.
(But please consider supporting the developers on there web page...)
Look at our support page for more info...
A fast and feature-rich implementation of an ESP32 and ESP8266 webserver to control
NeoPixel (WS2812B, WS2811, SK6812) LEDs or also SPI based chipsets like the WS2801 and APA102!
GITHUB link for WLED project
After a "Smart home" project "inhouse" we still have a few WLED PCB in stock.
Se product page for more info.
This is a bare PCB for use with WLED software on an ESP8266 D1-mini.
(Some of the boards in stock, have the power module fully soldered already
and we send them out first, and when we are out of them we send the 100% bare boards...)
